UNION, N.J. (9/8/08) - The Kean University tennis team opened the 2008 season with a 8-1 victory over visiting FDU-College at Florham on Monday afternoon. All three Kean doubles teams were victorious, while the Cougars also picked up five singles victories in straight sets.

Sophomores Lisette LaForge (Roselle Park, N.J.) and Katherine Arauz (Newark, N.J.) each won at first and second singles, respectively, while also teaming up to win first doubles, and junior Michelle Tofel (Union, N.J.) earned victories at sixth singles and third doubles for the Cougars.

Kean returned to the courts on Saturday, September 13, when went on the road against New York City College of Technology in a non-conference match at Noon.
