Union, N.J. (9/22/08) - Sophomores Lisette LaForge (Roselle Park, N.J.) and Katherine Arauz (Newark, N.J.) both finished with two wins on the day as Kean University defeated visiting Lehman College, 9-0, Monday afternoon at the Kean Alumni Stadium Tennis Courts. With the win the Cougars improve to 3-2 overall while the Lightning fall to 1-6 this season.

LaForge captured first singles with scores of 7-6 and 6-2 while Arauz (pictured right) picked up the win in second singles by scores of 6-3 and 7-6. Together they combined for an 8-1 win at first doubles.

Junior Michelle Tofel (Union, N.J.) also picked up two wins on the afternoon with a 6-0, 6-0 blanking in sixth singles and combined with senior Andrea Grahlmann (Linden, N.J.) with an 8-0 win at third doubles.

The Cougars returned to action on Ramapo College in NJAC action on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 4 p.m.
