Union, N.J. (3/3/09) - Junior Nick Nolan (Linden, N.J.) and freshman Ryan Zamorsky (Branchburg, N.J.) were honored by the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) while freshman Dylan Laguna (Edison, N.J.) was selected by the New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association (NJCBA) as announced on Monday. Nolan earns NJAC Player of the Week honors after hitting .571 with two doubles, a triple, a home run, four RBI, and two runs scored in a pair of non-conference victories for the Cougars. He opened the week by going 2-for-4 with a double, triple, two RBI, and a run scored in Kean's 5-1 victory over FDU College at Florham. He wrapped up the week by going 2-for-3 with a double, a home run, two RBI, and a run scored in a 3-0 win over DeSales. Nolan, who produced a pair of extra-base hits in each game, was responsible for driving in half of Kean's eight runs scored in the two contests combined.

Zamorsky earns NJAC Rookie Pitcher of the Week honors after garnering the win on the mound in the Cougars' 5-1 victory over FDU College at Florham. He scattered nine hits and surrendered just one earned run in eight innings of work. He also struck out five and walked just one to secure the first collegiate pitching victory of his career.

Laguna earns NJCBA Rookie of the Week honors in the first week of award announcements. In four games this season Laguna leads the team batting .500 (8-16) with a team-high seven runs scored along with six stolen bases in six attempts.
