Wayne, N.J. Kean falls to 17-6 overall and 3-2 in NJAC play. William Paterson improves to 11-9 overall and 3-1 in conference action.

Kean got right back into it with four runs in the top of the third. After scoring on an error, sac fly and ground out, freshman Lee Cavico (North Brunswick, N.J.) registered an RBI double to round out the scoring in the frame. The Cougars would later tie the game at seven all as Mike Manganiello (Berkeley Heights, N.J.) drove home Nick Ramagli (Emerson, N.J.).

The Pioneers then exploded for another seven runs in the sixth inning, five with two outs, to put the game out of reach.

Southpaw Ryan Zamorsky (Branchburg, N.J.) suffered the loss. Zamorsky (4-1) allowed nine runs, six earned, as well as nine hits in four and a third innings of work. Freshman Steve Coral (Totowa, N.J.) earned the win in relief for WPU. Coral allowed five runs and five hits in five innings of relief.

Offensively, Manganiello (pictured right) was 2-for-2 with two RBI while freshman Vinny Galya (Old Bridge, N.J.) was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.
