It is said that each graduating class has its own personality, and the 2008 undergraduate class of Kean University proved to be no different. They are a group of intelligent young men and women who will go far beyond the boundaries of Kean. On April 25, 2008 they also showed all in attendance at the Senior Formal that they know how to have a good time! The class, led by Senior Class President David Thompson, had a great year filled with excitement and even a few tears.

As a result of budget cuts across the State of New Jersey and increased operating costs, Kean University students will face a tuition increase of about 7.9%. At a tuition hearing on Wednesday, June 18, 2008, Kean University Vice President for Administration and Finance, Phil Connelly, explained the need to increase tuition.

Newark, N.J. (5/5/08) - Top seeded Kean University Cougars avenged two regular season losses and came out swinging, defeating second seeded Montclair State University, 12-4, in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship game.

With the win, Kean (34-9) claims both the regular season and tournament title for the first time in program history.
