Giving back in some form is a quality that the Greek Senate, the sponsors of the program, and Greek organizations have always stayed true to. The Holiday Somerset Hills Party is, just, one of the most looked forward to events by Greeks all year. It is an opportunity for Greeks to lend a needed hand, hear, and voice as well as wind down and enjoy the many festivities during the eventful day.

The event taps children from Somerset Hills School and invites them for a day with Kean Universities Greek community.  During the day, the children will have the opportunity to connect with their aesthetic talents with activities focused within the arts as well as interact between one another.  As early as 2009, the famous "dance battle" has been a favorite event for children throughout the years.

For the children this is a day for them to enjoy some of the pleasures that life may bring. For the Greek members, it is an opportunity to leave a lasting impression on child. A chance to become a mentor, in some cases. "Sometimes it is easier talking to people other than your parents," says Giselle Torres.

Food, drinks, and gifts will be provided by the Greeks and Greek Senate.

The Somerset Hills Party takes place December 10, 2011 in Downs Hall.

A conglomerate of Greek organizations have banned together to create an event on Kean's campus, for the first time, named "Got Culture?" This cultural event is brought to you by five Greek organizations. The sororities include Betta Kappa Upsilon, Omega Phi Chi, and Mu Sigma Upsilon and the fraternities taking part are Betta Kappa Psi and Lamda Sigma Upsilon. This event was inspired to bring awareness to Mitochondrial Disease and it's proceeds will be going to the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.

The event will provide a full buffet provided by the members of the organizations involved and surprise giveaways as well as performances by the Kean Dance Team and the brothers of Lamda Sigma Upsilon.  There will also be a cultural fashion show, where members from the Greek organizations will be wearing cultural fashion items and informing the audience of its significance in specific cultures. The event will also have a guest speaker to provide more information on Mitochondria Disease. The "Got Culture" event will deliver a favorable enjoyment  from its numerous activities as well as benefit many lives in the process. Live music will be provided by DJ GodFather.

The date this will be held is December 8, 2011, at 7 inside Little Theater located in the University Center.
