Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said "Everybody can be great because everybody can serve." Kean University proved him right on Friday, January 22, 2010, by making it a day of service opportunities. Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream that everyone could come together and spread a message of hope to the community.
Ever hear the saying, "It is never too late to get involved?" Well, such should be the motto for every student that has not been a part of the Kean University experience. An outstanding student is someone who is not only studious, but someone who also excels in extracurricular activities.
Although it is the spring semester, the winter weather still lingers in the air. Students may be looking for a place to escape the cold during their free time on campus. So where are the best places to sit back and chill? The university has several comfortable locations for students to study, watch television, play games, read, and listen to music.
With the recent earthquake that struck Haiti on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, some students and faculty members at Kean University may wonder if such an event could ever occur on or around campus. The truth is that although an earthquake of the same magnitude which struck Haiti is not as likely to occur, the event of an earthquake happening near this region is possible.
