On Tuesday January 9, 2007, the Council for Part-Time Students (CPTS), Beverly Desch (Associate Director Office of Student Life and Leadership Development), and faculty members joined Courtney Chambers (Coordinator of the Entry Program Into College (EPIC)) in welcoming approximately 22 new part-time students to Kean University. It was an evening filled with important information sharing relating to the Kean community. Items such as registration, student parking, tutoring services, reading Kean e-mail for up to date news and all the special events planned for the Spring semester were covered. CPTS also distributed gifts to make the new students feel welcomed. Dedicated CPTS members showed up in great numbers and shared their experiences and advice for a successful journey toward reaching their educational goals and desires for the future. Again, EPIC and CPTS would like to welcome the new students to Kean University. Each student will not regret the choice their made in Kean to further your education. Now they will too realize, like many other students, that dreams do come true at Kean University.
