The Kean University shuttle bus offers a quick and easy way for students to get to class. Driving around and waiting for an available spot can be very frustrating for students and faculty alike. Sometimes commuters arrive for a class at the same time and may struggle to find a convenient parking spot. Finally, when class is just minutes away, there may be no choice but to go down Morris Ave to the East Campus, located just around the corner in Hillside. But don't fret here there are two East Campus shuttle buses that run simultaneously Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m.-11:00 p.m. The shuttle begins running every morning at 7:23 a.m. and is scheduled to run every eight minutes. Simply park your car and wait at the shuttle bus stop marked by a blue sign. Returning to your car at the end of the day is just as easy.

There are several shuttle bus stops located throughout the main campus. Students can use the shuttle to travel across the main campus as well as to the East Campus. There are three stops in the Vaughn Eames parking lot. One is in front of the security booth, another by the walkway to North Ave in front of the blue emergency phone, and the last across from the blue phone facing Morris Ave. There are other stops on the main campus including in front of Wilkins Theatre, the visitor's parking lot by the Administration building, and in front of Harwood Arena. There is also a Residence Life shuttle bus which may travel a similar route, so make sure to board the right bus! Though there should not be much confusion, because each shuttle bus is easily identifiable.

There may be days when we all need to catch the shuttle in order to stay on schedule. While waiting, call 908-737-4800 to find out the next shuttle's arrival time. The ride to the East Campus is a scenic view through the beautiful Elizabeth River Park. Keep in mind there is no eating, drinking, or smoking on the shuttle so make sure to follow these rules. Open a window and take a breath of relief, within minutes, the shuttle will arrive at your destination.
