Kean University prides itself on offering quality education at a reasonable price. However, there are some students that still struggle with the cost. College is very expensive, but it is definitely a wise investment for your future, but there are many ways for students to get financial assistance, if you know where to look. Kean University offers its students many scholarships for their academic pursuits and achievements.

Foundation scholarships are awarded to students once a year. The amounts will vary and students must complete a Kean University Foundation, Inc. Scholarship Application before they are eligible. The application is now available on the University's website. It must be completed and returned no later than March 15, 2007 to be considered for a scholarship in the upcoming year.

There are 75 scholarships available to students, in which GPAs, majors, and all walks of life are considered. Kean University Foundation Scholarships are awarded to academically talented students who are full-time or part-time undergraduate and graduate students. Although there are scholarships for a variety of GPAs, students are required to have a 2.5 or higher in order to be eligible. Applicants must also include two recommendations from professors. Transfer students may use an employer, counselor, or professor from their previous university as recommendations. All completed applications must be returned to the Office of Scholarship Services located in Kean Hall.

Students can apply for a maximum of six scholarships at a time. Money can be an issue, especially for college students, but Kean University wants the minds of its students to be on classes not worrying about how they are going to be paying for them. With the help of the Kean University Foundation Scholarships, students can pursue their educational goals with a solid financial foundation. Make sure not to miss out on the opportunity to apply for a scholarship this spring. A scholarship can make the college experience a lot more enjoyable without worrying so much about how to pay for it.
