I'm not going to bash the air out of Valentine's Day like I did in last year's issue; this time around I'm going to help you win over your crush's heart. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not all of a sudden head over heels for the holiday. My change of heart from completely boycotting Valentine's Day to giving tips on winning over someone's heart is due to getting hit by cupid's arrow. I tried avoiding that little pudgy man with wings, and I still got hit…but it just brushed my shoulder, no major on target hit, so I'm not a zombie for love. Alright, time for Crushes 101.

Of course all this would be a lot easier if you were friends with your crush, but if not this still can work; you just have to work extra little harder, sorry. You have to get your intended's attention and have the focus only on you, even when you're not around they should be thinking of only you. To do this, first you have to make yourself look good, not that they won't like you for who you truly are, but you have to make the bait worth biting. Make sure to not go overboard, too much can drive them away instead of your way. So now that you're an eye catcher, flaunt it, but be subtle. I'm not going to tell you how to flaunt, that's a whole other story, but be sure not to try too hard or accidentally grab the attention of someone else, because then you'll open a whole new can of worms.

You must now find out as much as you can about that person and use it to your advantage. Listen to them carefully and take note of certain places they like to go, specific bands they listen to, and those little things you both have in common. Plus you could always get more information from their close friends. Now that you have the information, it's time to use it, properly. You could take them out to dinner one night to their favorite restaurant, buy them a CD of their favorite band (make sure they don't have it first) or be sure it's on your iTunes play list when they come to your room to chill. Hopefully you both will have quite a few things in common so you'll have something to talk about. Talking is a big plus and a good time to get to know each other on a fun and personal level.
