Free Financial Aid Workshop
Issue date: 2/12/07 Section: Campus News
It's time to complete your renewal FAFSA for the 2007-2008 school year again! If you are having problems interpreting the tax information for you or your parents or are confused as to what a W-2 looks like, the Office of Financial Aid will be conducting a workshop on Thursday March 1, 2007. The workshop is to assist students that need help completing their financial aid application. It will be held in the computer lab in CAS- 113 from 1:00pm until 6:00pm. In order to better serve your needs, we recommend bringing the following information with you; your Federal PIN number, your 2006 Federal Tax Return and/or 2006 W-2 and your parent's 2006 Federal Tax Return and/or 2006 W-2.
The Kean Office of Financial Aid has a priority filing deadline date of March 15, 2007 for students interested in applying for State and Federal awards. Students that feel that they qualify for financial aid or have received financial aid in the past are encouraged to do the FAFSA before the deadline. The most efficient way to complete the FAFSA is via the internet. We will have experienced financial aid staff members on hand to help you navigate the FAFSA website. If you are not interested in submitting your electronic FAFSA that day, you are still encouraged to stop by with questions you might have regarding the financial aid process. Completing the 2007-2008 FAFSA with accurate and concise data may insure your Fall 2007 financial aid awards are processed in a timely manner. Please join us. If you have any questions regarding the workshop please feel free to email the Financial Aid office at finaid@kean.edu or give us a call at (908) 737-3190.
