There now should be no reason why students at Kean University are unable to keep their New Year's Resolutions, especially if they had anything to do with health or fitness. Visitors of the D'Angola will be surprised to see a cleaner and more attractive building. New lockers have been added for convenient storage and the walls have been freshly painted. New classrooms have also been added to the building. Another new addition is the rehabilitation center for physical injuries, that contains a pool. Students will be happy to know that the main swimming pool's filtration and piping system making the water will be cleaner than ever. As a matter of fact, the entire gym is virtually spotless.
The new weight training and cardiovascular equipment is sure to impress. As a matter of fact, there are now three times as many cardio stations in the D'Angola gym than there were on the East Campus. There are a total of twenty-seven cardio machines on the second floor with built in televisions, so if you bring a pair of headphones you can watch your favorite shows while you exercise! "The equipment is the best around," said Dr. Walter Andzel of the Physical Education Department, "We have the newest equipment out of all the colleges in New Jersey." Soon there will be a new stereo system added, as well as three new televisions. There are also new dance studios with free floating floors built on layers of plywood that are designed to absorb shocks. And if you want to monitor your body movements there is a human performance center.
The new fitness center is meant for students and faculty to pursue healthier lifestyles. There is plenty of room to do yoga and other physical training. So students and staff you can now begin using the new and improved D'Angola Gym.
