Today kicks off the 2007 Greek Olympics! We have all come to know and love this time of the year where members of Kean's fraternities and sororities get together to compete in a host of events such as volleyball, basketball, goofy events, soccer, softball, ping pong and others. Greek Olympics only happens during the spring, and it is fun for Greeks to participate in and for non-Greeks to watch. What better way to start off than with goofy events. Goofy events are today at 3:30 p.m. near the Greek Rock Garden and include relay races, three legged races, and the always interesting, tug of war. Also, tonight there will be volleyball and dodge ball at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in Harwood Arena.

Greek Olympics are not all physical activities; on Wednesday March 28th there is a program entitled, "Can I Kiss You?" The program will discuss dating, respect, and communication and it is followed by ping pong and billiards at 6:30 pm in the UC Game Room. On the Greek God/Goddess pageant will take place on April 3rd in the Little Theater, where a member from each organization has the chance to represent their organization and show off their talents in the pageant.

Another highly anticipated event is the Up 'til Down Finale and Greek Sing in Downs Hall, where organizations have the chance to get up on stage and entertain the crowd with an original routine for a chance to win points. March 31st is loaded with activities to keep Greeks busy, as they play soccer, softball, basketball and kickball, all at the East Campus.

As we get closer to the end of semester, it is always good to have a little fun before worrying about finals. There is a list of events for the week on the Greek senate website. Of course at the end of the day, it's not about who wins. Although there are winners of each event, the point of Greek Olympics is not just to compete, it is to come together, celebrate, and express Greek unity.
