The Department of Health Services lending their services one student at a time

The Department of Health Services at Kean University is committed towards providing a variety of services to all full-time, part-time, and undergraduate students. While providing students with registered nurses and physicians, Health Services uses the most current resources available to help the "student on the go." Most importantly, Health Services remains dedicated toward promoting good health to college students while providing the Kean community with the best medical care possible.

Health Services provides a number of services to Kean students including examinations for illnesses or injuries, full-time nurse care as well as part-time physician care, free and confidential HIV and STD testing, Administration of allergy injections to residential students, Medical counseling for the different aspects of health care, Maintenance of immunization records, as well as medical counseling to name a few. The Department of Health Services remains committed to staying up-to-date with current problems facing today's college students, as well as dealing with these various dilemmas in the most sensitive and educated manor.

The Department of Health Services also has a full laboratory for various tests including pregnancy testing, strep throat screening, pap tests, glucose and cholesterol screening, as well as testing for STD's and urinalysis. Although Health Services provides a distinct array of services for various reasons; they are more then adequately trained to handle most ailments, from the common cold to a minor burn.

So the next time you're in class and you are feeling a bit under the weather; remember quality healthcare with a professional, courteous, and well-informed staff is available right here on campus. The Department of Health Services remains committed towards assisting the student body by providing quality health care, along with a staff of professionals who are specifically trained to help college students stay healthy and safe while they pursue academic excellence.
