The University Center at Kean represents the heart and soul of the University, serving as the center of most activities on campus. Besides accommodating rooms for club meetings, student cafeterias, and the student game room, the University Center is generally where you will see fellow students relaxing in between classes. One of the main goals for the University Center administrative staff is to accommodate the academic needs of the student body by providing them with adequate space, as well as a courteous and well-informed staff. Most importantly, the University Center is dedicated toward supporting the University's educational mission of helping students pursue personal growth in the academic and professional spectrum.

The University Center is the home to a diverse array of departments and services. It houses a large computer lab, a game room, three diverse dinning areas, the campus bookstore, the Cougar ID office, and an information desk for the UC staff to assist you with all of your important questions; just to name a few locations. The University Center is also the home of the Little Theater, a small-staged Theatre where many campus lectures and activities transpire. Many important departments like Student Life and Leadership Development, Student Organization of Kean University Inc., Council for Part-Time Students, and the Graduate Student Government Association all have their offices in the UC and host most of their planned activities within the center itself.

The University Center serves as the vital hub of University activity, and plans are in the works to renovate the University Center to better accommodate the growing student body as they pursue their academic goals. Future renovations planned within the University Center include renovation on the Martin Luther King Jr., memorial garden, as well as an expansion of facilities to better accommodate students.

The University Center stands as a testament of the University's commitment toward providing the best environment for academic success to the student body. Future renovations planned will help the University Center modify along with the ever-changing needs of the University and the student body.
