The Campus Awareness Festival is an annual event sponsored by the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development and its main goal is to educate students about all Kean has to offer. This year's theme was Dive Into the Ocean of Activities, and new students had a chance to "sea" opportunities for involvement. Not only does campus involvement spice up your co-curricular transcript, but it also helps down the line with employment opportunities.
This year, the Campus Awareness Festival was held on two different days, the evening of the 25th and the afternoon of the 26th of September, to allow for the maximum enrichment of students in finding out more about the campus. Student groups and departments set up tables with information and new students participated in the D.I.V.E. Kean game with free giveaways.
Students were given a chance to sign up to be potential members of a variety of groups which piqued their interest. These organizations ranged from cultural, dance, departmental, science, and Greek organizations. Tables displaying information on these organizations were set up outside the University Center, and many students flocked the area to find out what interested them. Apart from the organizations, there was also Make Your Own Video for those who were interested in emulating their favorite stars and dance moves. There was also a caricaturist, airbrush t-shirts and a chance to get your photo on a magazine cover.
This year's Campus Awareness gave students a chance to dive into activities and get hooked on Kean!
