It's a typical Tuesday night, all your homework is complete, and there's nothing on TV. By 9 o'clock, you're officially bored out of your mind and in desperate need of something to get into. Well if you're reading this, keep reading, because you are soon to be rid of boredom and on your way to lots of new and exciting activities.

If you choose to stay on campus, there are lots of things to get yourself into. If you're interested in games, head over to the University Center Game Room. There you can rack em' up and knock em' down with a friend at the pool table, try your luck with the video games, or indulge in an intense game of spades. The Game Room is a major hangout spot, where students often go to let loose from the pressures of classes and hang out. There are more than enough games to go around. And soon, you might begin to feel like there are too many games and not enough time to enjoy.

Have fun in the game room, but try not to get so mixed up in the allure of it all, before you have had a chance to see what the rest of Kean has to offer. Make sure you mark your planners with all the great events student groups are scheduled to sponsor. For example, Rap Meets Poetry, Kean Idol, Culture Fest, Unity Week, and so much more. You can also check the Kean University, University Center Web page and click on campus events. On this site, you can find a list of events scheduled for the week.

In case all these activities haven't piqued your interest, don't worry, all hope is not lost. You can always opt to try your luck and venture off campus. In the Union, Elizabeth, and Newark area, there are a variety of restaurants and hang out spots. You can also travel a short way to the Jersey Gardens Movie Theatre and check out the latest films or browse the latest fashion at the mall. And if all else fails, don't hesitate to get on the train and head across the water to New York. You can see a Broadway show, catch a concert in the park, or laugh it up at a comedy club in the village. And you don't have to break the bank either because there are a lot of things you can do in the city that are free of charge. In NYC, the possibilities are endless.

College is supposed to be the best years of your life, don't let them pass you by. If you take advantage of everything college has to offer, you'll never see another boring evening at home again.
