This year, Meet the Greeks will take place Wednesday, Sept. 16 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in a virtual fair format on Cougar Link. Meet the Greeks is an event hosted by the Greek Senate that brings together all the different Greek organizations for a night filled with activities, performances, and camaraderie between all of the brothers and sisters of Greek Life and those interested in getting involved with the community.

Hynes Hall is the latest building to open at Kean University as of Fall 2020. It will become the new home to the College of Business and Public Management (CBPM) and will house a wide variety of resources for business, public administration and criminal justice students.

Leadership is not a responsibility that is given to just anyone. It is about the growth and impact that certain people can make in their community, which defines true leaders. Student Organization Executive Board President Lindsey Gonzalez has truly made an impact on the Kean community with her leadership qualities, and will continue to do so, as she is officially sworn in as the new executive president of Student Organization.

Student Organization has a wide variety of events planned for the rest of the semester to get students more involved and connected with one another. From hands on activities to watching live webinars through Zoom or Google Hangouts Meet or simply watching a movie through Netflix Party, Student Organization aims to deliver an interactive experience so students have something to look forward to instead of worrying about the online course load from their classes.

On Monday, March 9, Kean University recently received one of the largest donations from Professor Emerita Dorothy Grant Hennings, Ed.D.' H10. The gift will help fund a scholarship which will be named in honor of her late husband and biology Professor Emeritus George Hennings, Ed.D.' H10 to support students that are studying in the science and science education fields. The contribution will also include the Centennial Fund Opportunity Scholarship which is open to high achieving, low income students from all majors.

When in college, it is important to develop skills that are going to last a lifetime, especially when it comes to networking. For a student like senior Dhruva Patel, Kean has provided the tools for her to become a well-rounded individual in both her academics and involvement on campus, and helped develop her leadership skills. Patel has accomplished a great deal during her time at Kean and plans to use what she has learned toward her future.

This was a week full of informative events to help promote and educate people about eating disorders and body positivity throughout the community

The Lesniak Institute for American Leadership is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing future generations of leadership. The Lesniak Institute is an organization that teaches the principles of effective advocacy, by offering first-hand experience through their causes and partnering with many grassroots organizations to complete its mission for a better tomorrow.The Institute was founded by Raymond J. Lesniak, a former New Jersey State Senator. Lesniak wanted to create an institution that teaches its members action-driven advocacy for the community and the world beyond. It was founded in January 2018, with their first headquarters located in the S.T.E.M. building at Kean University.
