October is Domestic Violence Awareness month, which is a time for advocates to come together to raise awareness for this issue and spread education on the topic. During this time, communities and organizations work to help survivors, victims and those unaffected to learn about the signs and the proper actions to take when faced with domestic violence. On Saturday, Sept.14, the Greek Senate hosted their annual Greek Senate Conference. Members from every fraternity and sorority attended, as well as guest speakers from the Kean Community. Typically this would be an in-person event, however this year it transpired from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. via Zoom.
With the implementation of new safety guidelines as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kean has introduced a mobile dining app for students and faculty to utilize. Through this application, one can order food from all of the campus eateries at a specified location and pick-up time. This has allowed those on campus to get food more safely and conveniently.
Kean University offers two sessions during the summer to allow students to accelerate their programs and earn their degrees even quicker. For Summer Sessions I & II, there are important dates that students should keep in mind to stay on track.

This upcoming 9 a.m. on April 13, through 2 p.m. on April 16, 2020, is when the Alternate Student Trustee election will transpire. All currently registered Kean students are eligible to vote in this election on Cougar Link.
