Union, N.J. (3/3/10) - Muhlenberg College scored 15 goals in the first half on their way to defeating the Kean University women's lacrosse, 19-7, Wednesday afternoon in the season opener for both at Kean Alumni Stadium. Senior Amanda McGovern (Glen Ridge, N.J.) led the way for Muhlenberg (1-0) with five goals and three assists for eight points on the afternoon.

For the Cougars, senior Chelsea Davis (Livingston, N.J.) recorded three goals on the afternoon in the loss for Kean (0-1).

Kean scored the match's final six goals of the afternoon as Davis recorded three goals, while sophomore Nicole Torre (Toms River, N.J.) and freshman Lyndsey Cannon (Delran, N.J.) each added one.

For the Mules, junior Danielle Rosen (Kinnelon, N.J.) also added a game-high five goals and four assists for nine points.

Kan returns to action on Tuesday, March 9th when they face Gwynedd-Mercy College at 7 p.m.
