Field Hockey Win Streak Halted at FDU-Florham

MADISON, N.J. (10/5/10) - The Kean University field hockey team fell to host FDU-Florham, 2-1, in non-conference action on Tuesday evening. Lauren Fabrizio netted the game-winner for the Devils (6-6) with less than 12 minutes remaining in the game to snap the Cougars (7-2) seven-game winning streak.

Trailing 1-0 at halftime, Kean senior Amie Hoch knotted the game at one goal apiece when she scored off the assist from senior Kelly Mataya off the penalty corner at 41:45.

The two teams battled over the next 16 minutes, before Fabrizio netted the game-winner at 58:18.

In goal, senior Lauren Dobbs stopped four shots for the Cougars, while Devils goalkeeper Tess Loughran made 11 saves.

Kean returned to action on Saturday, October 9, when they hosted Rowan University in New Jersey Athletic Conference action.
