Diabetes Type 1 is usually diagnosed in children and young adults. What occurs is that the body does not produce enough insulin and therefore, can affect the body's immune system. Diabetes is the seventh leading cause of death in the United States and affects over 346 million people worldwide. Since 73% of every dollar donation is used for support, advocacy, and research, it is vital to raise funds for this serious condition.

After the information session, the singing portion of the evening began. One of the greatest activities that always creates bonding and calms stress is karaoke. The Cougar's Den was packed with students and staff alike, who were ready to donate a couple dollars and belt out a tune.
