Through this club, the members will gain a better understanding of what it is like to be "in the industry" and get a first hand view of the leading biotechnology industries that are based in New Jersey. Besides educating its members about the biotechnology field, the Biotechnology Club aims to educate other students about science. They aspire to educate middle school and high school students about the science fields and to encourage an interest in the biotechnology field. The Biotechnology Club also aims to educate the school population of the biotechnology field and the various advances in the biotechnology field. Members will also be able to make connections and network with various other societies, including the American Society for Mass Spectrometry. Creating such connections can further the members' knowledge and interest into some of the leading techniques that are used in the biotechnology field. The biotechnology club meetings are held every other Tuesday in room 415 of the STEM Building at 3:15pm

Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend "Science Career Day" including students and faculty. A small group of local high school students have also been invited to this event as well, to attract interest for pursuing science careers at a younger age. Christine Chen stated that "the additional Q&A sessions will further serve to benefit the student audience, in hopes that the students will gain a better understanding about the available scientific opportunities." There will also be small instrumentation demonstrations that will be performed to further encourage interest in science. The Science Career Day will provide inside information about what it's like to have a scientific career which is knowledge that one cannot gain just in a classroom.
