Embracing Multiculturalism at Kean University

On Wednesday, September 25, 2013 the Association of Latin American Students (ALAS) will be hosting a lecture titled "Embrace Your Roots: Create a New Future by Drawing on your Heritage," to celebrate Hispanic heritage month. Bobby Gonzalez will be conducting the lecture between the hours of 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. in the University Center Little Theater.

Gonzalez is a New Yorker who is a multicultural motivational speaker, poet, and storyteller. He is of Taino -indigenous people of the Bahamas and Caribbean- and Puerto Rican descent. He focuses on speaking to young adults about topics of Native American history. Gonzalez has inspired universities across the country; from the University of Alabama-Huntsville to the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.

The hosts, ALAS, and sponsors-the Kean University Student Organization, invite all students to join them in embracing multiculturalism.
