Kean University Board of Trustees' policy along with New Jersey State Law will be holding the election of one student representatives for the Kean University Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees is a governing panel of the policies of an educational institution. The elected student representatives will have a two year term on the board.  The first year, each student will spend as an alternative member and then a voting member the second year. In order to be eligible for election, students must fulfill all of the following requirements.

Those interested must currently be a full-time matriculated student at Kean University. Any accounts of conduct violations are prohibited. Undergraduate students must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.75 grade point average along with a minimum of thirty degree credits completed. A minimum of fifteen of those credits must have been completed attending Kean University. Graduate students must be full-time Kean students with a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average. Graduate students must have at least 12 credits completed at Kean University. All interested must be at least 18 years of age and a citizen of the United States.

Anyone interested and eligible to be elected for Alternative Student Trustee can complete the mandatory application form, as well as receive additional information, at the Board of Trustees section of the Kean website at kean.edu/KU/Student-Trustees. Completed applications must be received in the office of the vice-president for student affairs before 2 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2014.
