Students tend to change in many ways when they get to college. Perhaps they start associating with different types of people, or maybe they start listening to different kinds of music. Most often, however, students discover that their interests and passions are shifting entirely. Even those who enter college with a clear idea of what they want to do may realize that they want to choose a different path. Students may also enter college without a clue of what they would like to do, and gradually discover their callings. None of these circumstances are something to be ashamed of. Changing majors is a simple process and students are able to do it at any time they wish, as long as it is before the registration date for the following semester. Students should also be sure that they have fully researched the new major they would like to declare before changing majors. It is encouraged for  students to talk about this decision with his/her advisor before making it official.
