From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on December 10, 2015, the Center for Leadership and Service (CLS) will be hosting a Human Rights Day to help raise awareness on human rights.

Many people do not know this, but many people around the globe have their human rights taken from them. According to the United Nations webpage on human rights, these rights are given to all human beings at birth no matter ones nationality, sex, religion, or residence. Some of the human rights that are not being given to people in many countries today include:

  • The right to live freely
  • The right to believe in any religion or not
  • The freedom of expression
  • The right not to be enslaved
  • The right not to be tortured

And the list can go on. There are many rights that are being violated around the world and the news of human violation needs to be spread. So help CLS on this day and spread the awareness of human rights.
