The time has come to go walking in a winter wonderland and embrace the holiday spirit. The Office of Residential Student Services (RSS) is hosting a bus trip to Six Flags Great Adventure’s Holiday in the Park. Twinkling lights in all their glory will be enjoyed by students on Saturday, December 12, 2015.

Tickets are at the low cost of $10. A ticket ensures a student transportation to and from the amusement park, admission into the park and a meal voucher. The bus will depart from Wilkins Theatre at 2 p.m. and will leave the park at 8:30 p.m. Students were able to begin purchasing tickets on Monday, November 23, 2015. Time and tickets are running out, so hurry on over to Wilkins Theatre now!

RSS decided to host the bus trip for students to enjoy themselves on the final weekend of the semester. “Often times we hear that there is nothing to do on campus on the weekend,” said Laneesha Bacchus, an RSS Program Assistant and Residence Hall Director of New Freshman Residence Hall, “We thought that Holiday in the Park would be a great off-campus trip to end the semester for our students.”

Along with a number of rides that will be operating, there will also be several holiday themed activities. “The theme park will be transformed into a gigantic holiday festival, with hundreds of thousands of lights as well as special holiday shows, rides, merchandise, foods, drinks and a giant tree in the center of the park,” Bacchus said.Holiday in the Park includes several paths lined with decorations, carolers and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

For convenience, the park has provided a virtual guide that maps out all the available rides and activities so visitors can maximize their holiday fun. More information can be found here.

The amusement park is offering Holiday in the Park from November 21, 2015, through January 3, 2016.
