Learn what Kean has to offer to students

Gaelle Gilles

Every year, at the start of the fall semester, the Miron Student Center Operations and Event Management office hosts Kean Day, an event where students can learn more about the student services offered and the organizations and clubs on campus.

This year, Kean Day will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. all along Cougar Walk stretching from Harwood Arena to Wilkins Theatre with check-in and registration on the Miron Student Center patio.

“Kean Day is an event that exposes new students to everything that Kean has to offer,” Kerrin Lyles, director of the Miron Student Center Operations and Event Management office says.  Kean Day began in 1982 as a campus-wide festival and “it is a place where all students, freshmen and upperclassmen have the opportunity to check out clubs they may have an interest in and meet their peers,” Lyles comments.

Along with the many organizations and departments present, Kean Day will also include activities and different vendors for everyone to enjoy. Come attend Kean Day and see how you can enhance your collegiate experience, meet new people and learn about your university.

In the event of rain or inclement weather, Kean Day will be held the following Friday on September 16, 2016, also from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Cougar Walk.
