It's time to lace up the sneakers and don pink clothing. On Sunday, October 9, 2016, members of the Kean community are invited to participate in the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.

The walk will take place at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center. Round trip transportation from Kean University will be provided by the Center for Leadership and Service (CLS)The New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center is located at 97 Sunfield Ave in Edison, New Jersey.

Participants should wear comfortable walking clothes as the route is a 5K.

The walk stands as a way to support those who have gone or are going through a battle with breast cancer. Funds raised are donated to breast cancer research and patient services.

Attendees should be at the Wilkin's Theatre shuttle stop no later than 7:30 a.m. as that is the expected bus departure time. Students can expect to return to campus at approximately 1 p.m.

Students can sign up for the walk at https://kean.collegiatelink.net/form/start/103914. Make sure to sign up soon as spots fill up quickly.
