Blood is needed more than ever during this emergency blood shortage, and the Kean community can help.

On Thursday, January 26, 2017 students, faculty and staff are asked to donate blood at the Blood Drive. Individuals can donate blood in Miron Student Center (MSC) room 226 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

If an individual has donated before and has a blood donor card, he or she is encouraged to present it during check-in. For those who have not given blood before, their Kean University ID or another form of identification must be shown.

Donors are reminded to eat a well-balanced meal before attending the Blood Drive as the donation process can leave people lightheaded and nauseous.

Those interested in donating are encouraged to save some time by making an appointment online or calling 1-800-933-2566. An appointment is not required; walk-ins are welcome!

Aside from giving blood and saving lives, as an added incentive, New Jersey Blood Services will give the first 75 donors a Chick-fil-A coupon that can be used in Union, N.J.
