The Office of Student Government is currently accepting student applications for those who want to become more involved and play an active part in their time at Kean. They are looking for student volunteers that seek to have a voice on campus. The applications are due on Friday, March 6 by 2 p.m.

There are various branches of Student Government that are accepting applications, such as The Student Organization of Kean University (SO). They are currently looking for executive board members and senators. SO is known as the voice of the full-time undergraduate student body, and is comprised of elected officials. They ensure that the comments and concerns of these students are heard and strive to achieve their wants and needs.

The executive board positions available for SO are as follows:

  • President
  • Executive Vice-President
  • Vice-President of Recognized Groups
  • Vice-President of Programming
  • Vice-President of Kean Ocean
  • Treasurer

  • Senior Class President

Another branch of Student Government that is currently looking for applications is the Graduate and Part-time Student Council (GPSC), which is made up of elected officials as well. They are responsible for students that fall under the category of graduate and part-time student because even though they may not be full-time undergraduate students, it is important that their needs still must be heard and met.

  • Graduate or Part-time Student Council Representatives (20)

The position roles are listed on the application form, which can be found by visiting the Office of Student Government's Cougar Link Page, scrolling to the 'forms' section, and selecting the 2020-2021 Annual Election GPSC Executive Board and Senate Applications' form. This is also where one can learn about the requirements for joining GPSC.

The final branch of Student Government that is looking for applications is the P.U.L.S.E. Programming Board, which stands for Programming for Unique and Lively Student Experience. It is their mission to build a sense of community and involvement through the events that they plan for student.

P.U.L.S.E. is currently looking for the following positions for three separate committees:

  • Coordinator
  • Assistant Coordinator
  • Committee Members (5)

One can learn more about what these positions entail by accessing the application form titled 2020-2021 Programming for Unique and Lively Student Experience (P.U.L.S.E.)
