Student Health Services, Contributor

During this challenging time, Student Health Services (SHS) remains accessible to all matriculated Kean University students. They will continue to operate on a remote telehealth model until at least the conclusion of the Summer I session. Students can contact Student Health Services Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. If students would like to contact the department please do not hesitate to call the office main phone line at (908) 737-4880, email hsnurses@kean.edu or send a message through the secure patient portal at kean.studenthealthportal.com.

SHS' mission is to ensure students are doing well so that they can continue to succeed academically even in these challenging times.

SHS is here to support student health and wellness needs. From illness, to injuries to immunization questions. If students are in need of counseling services, academic support or have other needs that the University can assist them with, please allow SHS to help make those connections.

Students can consult with a clinician or SHS' administrative staff regarding COVID-19 health concerns or with general health concerns. Students can speak with a clinician over the phone or arrange for a face to face virtual visit.

If one is a student or have knowledge of a student who is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, whether one is currently have pending test results, has been tested or if one is caring for an individual with confirmed COVID-19, students are asked to complete this Student Reporting Tool. All reports are confidential.

If students are having difficulty with course work or have been falling behind because of illness, or because they are caring for a loved one, they are encouraged to reach out to their professors and the dean’s office of their program so that they can be advised with their options. SHS is able to help students make those connections if an individual is not sure who to contact.

SHS remains committed to students' well-being and wishes everyone in the Kean community health, safety, and continued success.

SHS looks forward to seeing everyone back on campus soon!

Be well!
