Virtual Family Day
Join Kean for their 2nd Annual Virtual Family Day.
Shannon Sheehan, Staff Writer

On Saturday, Oct. 10, Kean University will be hosting the 2nd annual Virtual Family Day from 10 a.m. to noon.

This will be a fun and engaging event for the families of the Kean community to learn more about the student experience and what the university has to offer. It is also a time to celebrate each family's students and their accomplishments.

Attendees will hear from students about their experiences at Kean, and can even share their own experiences. Through this, they can learn what it is truly like to attend Kean University from a student's perspective.

There will be a lot of opportunities at Family Day to be educated about the resources available from the university, which support its students and community.

There will be various events spread throughout Family Day to partake in. For example, some of the events include virtual workshops and tours, family friendly games and an alumni reception. Additionally, attendees will be able to compete for amazing prizes.

There will also be guest speakers from various departments on campus, such as Career Services, the Learning Commons, Student Activities and Financial Aid. This way, guests can learn all about how these departments operate and how they help students.

Guests must register through an online form before attending the event. There, the participant will first be asked if they are a student or guardian. They will then be asked information about the student, such as their first and last name, student ID number, their Kean email address and their phone number.

The form then asks for the number of guests attending with the party. If anyone in the party is a Kean alumnus, make sure to select ‘yes’ under that question and provide their name, email and year of graduation. Finally, there is a space to address any concerns or accommodations that one may have regarding the event.

For questions regarding Virtual Family Day, be sure to reach out to success@kean.edu and they will respond to your email within 48 business hours. One can also read more information on the event on the Virtual Family Day Kean webpage.

Family Day is a great event for students, alumni and all members of the Kean community to come together to show their Kean pride and learn more about what the university has to offer.
