From September to December students are juggling homework, exams, studying, classes, socializing and so much more. So at the halfway-point of the semester, they share how they are doing so far.

“My semester has been great so far! I’ve met so many amazing people,” said Student Irryana Patton.

Kean makes it easy for students to meet new people while relieving stress. One of the ways the Kean community interacts with each other is by attending events found on Cougar Link. Cougar Link is a great resource for those looking to make friends at events in between their classes.

During the first half of the semester, some have gone through many changes. For Amber Ortiz, she has learned something new within herself.

“The semester has been a huge adjustment from what I've been used to. It's been a major stressor but also manageable and beneficial. It's taught me a new sense of responsibility,” said Ortiz.

At times, being a college student can be extremely stressful. Luckily, Kean offers many resources to help people in times of need, such as the Counseling Services located in Downs Hall.

“It was definitely a challenge at first, but I was able to adjust to the new lifestyle pretty quickly,” said Adrian Cedeno.

While another semester means new professors, classes and friends, it’s good to know that everyone is going through the same thing together.

“I’m super excited for the second [half of the] semester and ready to continue building bonds and making memories,” said Patton.

“I feel ready to tackle the next [half of the] semester,” said Ortiz.

Kean offers so many resources to make sure students are on the right track. To help those who need assistance, Kean provides its community with:

“I feel that I am ready for my second semester at Kean,” said Cedeno.

Keep up the good work, Cougars!
