Commencement is a time for students to celebrate the accomplishments they’ve made at Kean University. From making lasting friendships to expanding their knowledge, everyone has had the opportunity to learn something new over the past few years. With graduation around the corner, students should look out for the upcoming dates leading up to the big day.

Tomorrow, Thursday, February 23, prospective graduates should visit the Graduate Expo. Between 3 and 6 p.m., students will have the chance to order cap and gowns, yearbooks and class rings in the Miron Student Center Atrium. If students are unable to attend the fair, they can expect an email with instructions for cap and gown orders.

Students will still have the opportunity to graduate if they missed the deadline for the spring semester. Applications for summer graduations are currently open and must be submitted by Friday, March 3. Students can apply for graduation by completing the application on KeanWISE

For any additional questions about graduation applications, students can contact the Office of the Registrar at regme@kean.edu or by calling 908-73-REGME.

For students who missed February’s senior portrait sessions, they’ll have another chance to take them in March. From Monday, March 20 to Friday, March 24, students can expect to get their pictures taken by Prestige Photography by LifeTouch. Students are expected to wear business attire for their designated session.

To schedule an appointment, Kean Union students should visit their website and use code 518 or use code 7518 for Kean Ocean.

To learn more about upcoming graduation details, prospective graduates can visit the Commencement page of the Kean University website or email commencement@kean.edu for more information.
