For those looking to showcase their talents, students should consider joining First Love Kean Fellowship. This organization is perfect for students looking to embrace their creative side while worshiping God.

“First Love is a Christian fellowship chapter at Kean University,” said First Love Kean Fellowship on Cougar Link. “First love believes in the creative arts and gives students the opportunity to learn…while developing a relationship with God.”

As mentioned on their website, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills founded First Love Church in 2012. What started as a small gathering became a phenomenon when the church gained thousands of members who joined for its services and prayers.

Today, First Love has over 10,000 members. There are 22 locations in the U.S. and over 50 worldwide. Kean University welcomed First Love to its campus earlier this year.

On campus, First Love Kean Fellowship organizes tabling sessions where students can get to know them and the organization. The following dates are tabling events that are taking place in the Miron Student Center Atrium:

  • Thursday, April 20, at 2 p.m.

  • Friday, April 21, at 3 p.m.

  • Thursday, April 27, at 2 p.m.

Alongside informational events, First Love Kean Fellowship hosts services and meetings. At the event, the group goes over organization procedures and partakes in fellowship services. Meetings will occur on the following dates in the Center for Academic Success, Room 354, at 7 p.m.:

  • Thursday, April 20

  • Thursday, April 27

  • Thursday, May 4

First Love Kean Fellowship is open to new members interested in expressing themselves creatively through faith. Interested students can email firstlovekean@gmail.com for more information.
