On February 1, 2018 Kean University, The Office of Africana Studies, and The Office of Student Government hosted the Black History Month Kickoff event. This featured the raising of the African Flag along with speeches from individuals on the significance of this month. Afterwards students and guest were directed to the Human Rights Institute to view performances, eat culture foods and to enjoy the culture!
