Young Athletes is a unique sport and play program for children with intellectual disabilities. The focus is on fun activities that are important to mental and physical growth. Young Athletes starts everyone on the right track. The children learn skills and push their limits in a fun way. Family members and supporters see more of the children's abilities, not their disabilities. And everyone becomes part of the Special Olympics community.

When reminiscing about childhood experiences, reading Dr. Seuss comes to mind. The rhymes, colors, and characters fill the imagination with wonder. Quotes such as: "Sam-I-am. I do not like green eggs and ham!" bring smiles to faces across the world. Dr. Seuss has impacted the lives of many and to this day, still does. He has taught us to read with enjoyment. He is a man that should be celebrated for his achievements.

Although, celebrating has no limits, unfortunately one's budget does. Coming up with ingenious ways to rejoice, commemorating memories, and making new ones within having the burden of an empty wallet is challenging. Romantically express love, showing gratitude, rejoicing friendship, celebrating a birthday or just having a get-together can be a simple task.
