National African-American History Month or as many call it, Black History Month, has been recognized as a time to acknowledge African-Americans throughout the month of February. Since 1976, the United States has celebrated Black History month; highlighting varies accomplishments by diverse African-Americans.

The use of force can go a long way. From conducting strenuous tasks because one was told to do so to being humiliated, force can be folded in any ways, shapes or forms. However, many do not understand the magnitude and the existence of the use of force. Force can be used to verbally damage someone emotionally; causes embarrassment and gives people the sense of ridicule. To many, these actions are mostly known as hazing.

Does not matter the color race or culture the fact that there are various diverse people in the nation, makes the country we will in ever more multicultural. Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Incorporated at Kean University makes sure to remind the campus community every year about multiculturalism and makes everyone aware of its presence in everyone's lives.

History shows that Anna, the seventh Duchess of Bedford first introduced after noon tea in 1840. Because lunch was served at noon and dinner was served at 8 p.m., the duchess decided to create a small scheduled snack everyday, where she would be able to eat a small amount of food that would last her up until dinner time. After a while the duchess began to invite her friends for a bit of tea, bread and butter, cakes and gossip. By the late 1800's afternoon tea became a fashionable social event that consisted of upper class and society women throughout England. Kean University's Liberty hall strives to keep traditions like these alive.

History works in miraculous ways in which people of the present can often learn from people of the past. Without recognition of history, the people of today look to the past because it has value to the world's tomorrow. For example, Dr. Carter G. Woodson created Negro History and Literature Week in 1920, which -- after a few years of changes -- became Black History month. If it was not for that honorable man, Black History Month would not be celebrated to its fullest extent.
