To help mark and celebrate its 15th anniversary the Liberty Hall Museum has officially announced the launch of their new website: www.kean.edu/libertyhall.

The new and improved website is described as user-friendly and appealing. “We spoke to our guests about what they wanted from our website, and created a site that showcased all [of what the] Liberty Hall Museum has to offer in a way that is user-friendly, aesthetically appealing and easy to navigate,” said Bill Schroh Jr., director of museum operations for the Liberty Hall Museum.

The new update has been designed by web designers from the office of university relations. The website allows for quick and easy access to whatever someone is looking for whenever they need it.

Drop-down menus and an option to view a desktop version or a mobile version have been added to the website.

“This online facelift is important because the website is often a visitor’s first interaction with Liberty Hall Museum,” said Schroh.

The Liberty Hall Museum has been around for more than 240 years, allowing a large amount of American history to be incorporated in the museum. “The museum houses extensive collections of furniture, ceramics, textiles, toys and tools owned by seven generations of the Livingston and Kean families. The firehouse museum that was built in 2004 is home to three antique fire engines, including a 1911 American LaFrance Metropolitan Steam Engine.

The museum is currently open for tours Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Private events and scheduled events can be found on the new website.

The Liberty Hall Museum is located at 1003 Morris Avenue in Union, NJ. For more information feel free to call Liberty Hall at 908-527-0400 or by email atlibertyhall@kean.edu.
