Childhood is to be a time filled with playing with toys, and this notion has not changed through the decades. While toys have evolved, they are nonetheless invented for children to play with.

Liberty Hall Museum recognizes this and will be opening a new exhibit showcasing the modernization of toys through the ages.

On Saturday, June 13, 2015, between the hours of 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., Liberty Hall Museum is hosting Toys Through Time: A Hands-On Children's Workshop in anticipation of the Toys Through Time: A History of American Fun exhibit.

The exhibit will be unveiled in September 2015 and will contain toys from the past 240 years on display. The workshop will include some reproduction toys that are to be displayed at the exhibit.

At the workshop, there will even be the opportunity for children to play with select toys. Afterwards, kids will be given the chance to create a board game of their own.

There is a price tag of seeing the historical toys, though. For children and adults, tickets cost $20, and members of Liberty Hall Museum are to pay $15.

A spread of light refreshments will also to available for attendees to enjoy. It is required that reservations be made for those who wish to attend, which can be done so by calling 908-527-0400.

The deadline for reservations is Saturday, June 6, 2015.
