Calling all freshman students! It is time to start applying to be a part of the freshman class executive board and council.

Students can choose from 13 positions to apply to starting Friday, September 4, 2015, to 2 p.m.  Friday, September 25, 2015.

The positions that freshman students can apply for are president, vice president, treasurer, secretary and a representative. As said before there are 13 positions available. Only one person can be president, one person can be vice president, one person can be secretary and one person can be treasurer, while nine people can be representatives.

Students can sign up to be a part of the election by filling out the application on Cougar Link. Students can find the application by visiting the office of student government page on Cougar Link and visiting the form tab. Students will be asked a series of questions and then asked to submit a biography. Submitting a biography isn’t required but it is highly recommended.

While applying, make sure to take note of the important dates listed. The candidates meeting is on Wednesday, September 30 and candidates interviews is during the week of October 5. Candidates must attend both of these meetings, or one will be disqualified from the elections.

The elections will take place online on Cougar Link. The elections will start on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at 9 a.m. and will end on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at 6 p.m.
