When walking around Kean University, it is not hard to spot the signs that read, “No Rolling Skating” posted around campus. But the time has finally come to abolish the rule…for one night (kind of).

Student Organization and Campus Life Activities for Student Success (C.L.A.S.S.) are hosting their very own roller skating party in Downs Hall on Saturday, October 10, 2015, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Don’t own skates? No problem! Skates will be provided for all who attend the event. Don’t know how to skate? Well, that’s no problem because regardless, it is bound to be a fun night for novices and experts alike!

The night will be DJ’d by DJ Wallah, a Newark native who has hit it decently big in the world of modern DJing. Wallah has been featured side by side with the likes of DJ Khaled, Meek Mill, French Montana, Rick Ross and many others.

Many people do not know the difference between roller skates and roller blades. Roller skates are the old-school style skate with the two wheels in the front and two wheels in the back. These tend to be easier for beginners to use due to a steady sense of balance. Roller blades have four wheels straight in the center, like a blade. As previously stated, roller skates will be provided via Student Organization and C.L.AS.S.
