School of General Studies will host a week filled with informational events on how to register for classes

Starting Monday, October 10, 2016, the School of General Studies will be hosting Advisement Week, which will help freshman students with class registration for the spring and winter semesters of 2017.

The week starts off with a College Major and Minor Exploration Fair on Monday October 10, 2016. This fair will be hosted at the Center for Academic Success (CAS) in the main lobby from 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students who are undecided are welcomed to attend.

On Thursday, October 13, 2016, there will be plenty of informational events going on:

  • Registering from a GEMs (General Education Mentors) Perspective: What you need to know after Pre-Advisement:
    • In this Informational event, a GEM will help students fully understand a four year plan, program evaluation and guide sheets.
    • This event will be in CAS room 251 and will run from 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • The Freshman Registration Process
    • This informational event will help freshman students with registration. Students will be able to ask questions on how to register for class and what the process is.
    • This event will be held in CAS room 252 from 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Using KeanWISE to register
    • In this informational event, students will learn how to use KeanWISE independently to register for future classes.
    • This informational event will be held in three rooms: CAS 202, 203 and 204 from 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
