Have you ever gone Easter egg hunting? It is a fun experience that will be provided to the Kean community on Saturday, March 31 on the grounds of Liberty Hall. Children will be able to explore the grounds of Liberty Hall, searching for plastic eggs hidden throughout the landscape and filled with holiday treats.

Lacey Kohutich, coordinator of Museum Programs for the Liberty Hall Museum explained that the Easter Egg Hunt is a great experience for children. She also mentioned the influence this event has had on children, which has allowed it to go on to its 15th year.

"The Liberty Hall Museum's Easter Egg Hunt is where children explore the grounds of Liberty Hall, searching for plastic eggs hidden throughout the landscape and filled with holiday treats. A surprise visit from the Easter Bunny also caps off the event," said Kohutich. "It is a typical egg hunt, but what Liberty Hall does that is different from most egg hunts is we limit each session to 100 children each.  That way it does not get too crazy and both children and adults enjoy the event to the fullest. We also do a special area called the baby bunny patch for children five years and younger that parents seem to really appreciate."

Kohutich expects children and guests to enjoy the activities provided such as the egg hunt.

"We also have the Easter Bunny stop by for a visit to take pictures with everyone. While everyone waits for the hunt to start, we do have some lawn games out for kids to play and entertain themselves," said Kohutich.

The price is $10 per child with one free adult per child and $5 for additional adults. Although some events have discounts, this one in particular does not have discounts for Kean students or employees.

"The egg hunt is one of our most popular events every year. We always have four sessions that sell out at least a week in advance," Kohutich said. "The event brings in many families that have never visited Liberty Hall Museum that continue to come to other events throughout the year."

She wanted students and guests to know that there are limited tickets left for the 4 p.m. session of the Easter Egg Hunt but that ticket information is scheduled for change.

For more information, students and guests can visit the Liberty Hall website.
