On February 14, 2012, second semester freshmen students were invited to a spectacular Valentine's Day event in the University Center. The afternoon was buzzing with laughter and smiles as students enjoyed pastries of every kind and strawberries covered in chocolate. Students sat around circular tables, talking and playing games. But most importantly, they had fun.

These students came to the University Center for an event filled with information sessions an entertainment. Students were also eligible to sign up for the spring semester workshops that would provide them with the guidance they need to finish their second semester at Kean University. In attendance, representatives that were promoting their department came from Career Development and Advancement, Center for Leadership and Service, the Maxine and Jack Lane Center for Academic Success, and many more. On the other side, freshmen were able to sign up for different workshops titled Financial Aid, Campus Safety, Information Literacy, Time Management, Note Taking/Study Skills, Registration, and Career Workshop.

In the next week and a half, there will be four of those workshops eligible for attendance. Information Literacy will be on February 23 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the library room 157. The event will be about plagiarism andanCASCASCAS
