Omega Phi Chi Sorority Incorporated (OPC) is a multicultural sorority that stands proudly. They are mixed with diverse backgrounds, and cultural roots, holding and displaying the strength of women all over the world.  On Wednesday, October 16, 2013 OPC will be hosting Love Your Lady Lumps. The event will take place in in the University Center room 315A from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The event will be a dinner honoring all of the strong women who have survived or are battling breast cancer. The sisters of OPC and their cosponsors Beta Kappa Psi Black and Latino Fraternity, Incorporated (BKPsi), and Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity, Incorporated (LSU), will be serving dinner to all who attend.

Breast Cancer is a topic that is common to many. Wearing pink to support the cause is an activity that has swept across the nation. People from many walks of life support breast cancer, in even the smallest of ways such as the wearing of a pink bracelet. Breast cancer is the leading cancer among women and it is second to only lung cancer when it comes to the cause of death.

The event will also have a guest speaker from Susan B. Komen. Susan B. Komen is a foundation dedicated to education and research about causes and treatments for breast cancer. The speaker will also explain the serious issues concerning breast cancer. OPC is asking all of the Kean University community to come out and support breast cancer awareness!
