The department of public safety and police is dedicated to make sure that all students and staff at Kean University continue to remain safe and secure while on campus. Campus police is committed to the prevention of crime and the protection of life and property. The department holds its staff to the highest standards and requires each staff member to endure intense training and leadership.

Blue light telephones have been installed in 13 outdoor locations throughout campus, as a way to assist campus police. For non-emergencies, use the key pad to dial any on-campus telephone number. For emergencies, push the red button.
